Defiant kittens have a health guarantee, but you must do your part.

H E A L T H   P R O G R A M

First 8 weeks (by breeder)

  • Fecal examination for parasites
  • Full examination of kitten and external check for parasites
  • At week 5 1/2 to week 8 de-worm kittens. (This is a standard precaution).
  • At week number 8, administer Felovac IV (killed) Vaccine (for upper respiratory common diseases) Feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, panleukopenia, Chlamydia, No. 1 of 3 shots.
Administering the Felovac IV vacination any earlier than 8 weeks may be suppressed by the kittens immune system, since its mother's milk would provide modified live is not recommended.

1st Vet visit with Vet: week 8
(immediately following delivery of kitten)

  • Full examination of kitten and external check of parasites
  • Blood test for feline leukemia
  • Fecal examination for parasites

1st return visit to Breeder or 2nd visit with Vet: 10 weeks
(kitten now in your care)

  • Felovac IV, second shots (2 of 3).
  • Feline leukemia No. 1 of 2 shots
  • Discuss recommendations for spaying/neutering
Third visit: 12 to weeks
(kitten now in your care)
  • Full examination of kitten and external check of parasites
  • Last (3 of 3) Felovac IV shot.
Vet visit: 3 month's (12-13 weeks)
  • Feline leukemia vaccine shot 1 of 2.
Vet visit: 4 month's (14-16 weeks)
  • Feline leukemia vaccine shot 2 of 2.
  • Rabies vaccination (any earlier and this shot will not be beneficial.)
