Saftey during the Holidays for your Bengal
Happy holidays from Kira, Lars, Declan and all our friends that lend a hand at raising our Bengals. After some research we've collected a lot of information regarding Bengal cats health. We will stick to Christmas season related concerns here. You will find hyperlinks to other areas if you want to broaden your health research. We have found that various Christmas season plants are poisonous to pets if chewed or swallowed, probably the most upsetting to find on our list is the Pointsettia. I'm sure every cat owner is a bit bothered by this fact in life. Here is our Christmas list of plants to date:

Regarding your Christmas tree, its obvious that the pine needles will cause problems if swallowed and most pets know better but what you should avoid is putting sugar and aspirin additives in the water if your cat can get to the trees water source. Preservatives often used in the water in a tree stand can cause gastric upsets, so be sure it is either inaccessible or just don't use them if you value your Bengals health.
